OVERVIEW

Found centres on the discovery of a latent geometric composition, revealed unintentionally during the construction of a frame for another work. What might otherwise have remained unnoticed presented itself with a striking clarity - an arrangement that felt resolved without having been consciously designed.

This accidental structure is preserved within a surface of layered marks, textures, and fragments of colour, where process and erosion coexist. Traces of earlier paintings remain faintly visible beneath the final layers, introducing subtle depth and glimpses of underlying colour. In holding onto this moment of recognition, the work reflects on the role of chance within artistic practice - suggesting that certain forms of order emerge not through intention, but through attention.
