Constructed Light

Ephemeral structures revealed through light, shadow, and modular construction.

This work develops through the assembly of informal, modular structures, initially constructed without a fixed outcome. By introducing a directed light source, these arrangements begin to project complex shadow forms.

The resulting images extend beyond the physical objects themselves. Simple constructions generate layered spatial and graphic relationships, shifting with small changes in position and light.

What emerges is not entirely predictable. The process allows for a separation between construction and outcome, where the most resolved forms appear through projection rather than direct design.

These works occupy a space between object and image—temporary architectures that exist only through the interaction of material and light.
